Tonight I’ve been out and about on the town, checking out a friend’s art in a group show in Downtown Dallas. (Photos to follow in a later blog!) But I made it back just barely in time to sketch a face!
I kept it pretty loose tonight, and took my husband’s tip for who to draw. Tonight I sketched from shot I took this fall while we were visiting Mrs. Edwards, a friend of my husband’s since his childhood. 
I really like the mood of the photo and the expression I got. However, since it wasn’t a closeup, the details aren’t prominent– part of the reason I approached this drawing faster than some of the others I’ve done recently.
The weekend is half over! Soak it up!
