Hello Tuesday. Today we have had some significant work done to my study – half a wall has been stripped out as well as the insulation and the previously rotted floor has been pulled up as well. This state of disarray is not yielding to productivity nor motivation. So, tonight I doodled 10 faces with my eyes closed. I opened my eyes to reposition between each face but did not peek while drawing. I also went ahead and provided the caption with my eyes closed as well, for consistency. Ultimately tonight’s mindless doodle looks like a child’s drawing– or some artwork of other more contemporary artists I’ve encountered. While this little exercise has proved entertaining– it is not my cup of tea. Observation is so important to a successful realistic portrait.
